We had a great time at the NYT Travel Show this past weekend! Meeting our excited and travel-savvy passengers and checking out all the booths and performances was a great experience. The show inspired us to even more in 2016 and offered some great travel tips and destination suggestions. If you couldn’t make it out to the show this weekend, we also love the New York Times piece highlighting 52 amazing places to travel to this year for some travel inspiration.
This list curated by the New York Times includes some spectacular destinations, one of our favorites being Malta. This archipelago is described by the New York Times piece as a destination for “the Mediterranean on a dime.” Where do we sign up?
The official languages of this country are English and Maltese—a language with both Arabic and Sicilian influences, but Italian is also widely spoken. And some of the major draws to this Mediterranean three-island nation? How about a perfect coastline to drive and explore this crossroads of culture’s cathedrals and temples. Location at the oceanic intersection of Europe and Africa, this destination is perfect spot for a multiculturalist getaway.
